"?American wonderkid Christian Pulisic is in no hurry to renew his Dortmund contract, with Liverpool heavily linked with a move to bring him to Anfield.

At only 18 years of age, Pulisic has made three first-team appearances for Dortmund this season and is widely tipped to become a big star in the future.

"?Sports Illustrated report that Pulisic is waiting to see how much first-team action he is likely to get with the German giants before taking any action on the new deal.

His current five-year deal ends in 2019, but it is believed that the American's level of proven ability is higher than the salary he is being given for it, hence the negotiation on a new one. Pulisic turned down a new offer that was put to him last spring.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to tie Pulisic down early at Liverpool, and is said to be weighing up a swoop for him either in January or next summer.

The midfielder has scored for Dortmund already this season, netting in a 6-0 rout of Darmstadt, and became the youngest player to represent the USA internationally when he appeared in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March.

Pulisic is also the youngest foreign goalscorer in Bundesliga history, having scored his first goal there in April at 17 years of age. Therefore, it is unsurprising that the American is so highly regarded and could be a future giant at Anfield, should he join the Reds.
