Borussia Dortmund are targeting Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rode as they attempt to bring in a host of new faces for next season, reported "?Spox.
Dortmund face hot competition for the out-of-favour Bayern man, with the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach, Tottenham and Wolfsburg each in the running to lure the player away from the Allianz Arena too. Rode only featured for Bayern for 400 minutes in the league last season, and is thought to be frustrated with his lack of opportunities.
Thomas Tuchel's side are hopeful of profiting from that and are on the lookout for a midfielder to replace the outgoing Ilkay Gundogan, who is set to join Manchester City in the coming days.
Rode is not the only transfer target Dortmund are focused on luring to the club however, as the same report claims that both Raphael Guerreiro of FC Lorient and Emre Mor from Denmark's FC Nordsjaelland"? are also on the club's shopping list. Dortmund have nipped ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Guerreiro, while Dortmund see 18-year-old Mor as a potential future star.
Dortmund are looking to bring in a host of new players as Mats Hummels has also left the club this summer, while the likes of Joo-Ho Park, Moritz Leitner, Neven Subotic, Adrián Ramos and Matthias Ginter could each be sold if an attractive offer comes in, leaving a series of gaps in the squad.
Andre Schurrle "?was also linked with a move to Signal Iduna Park last week.
