"?Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has provided the club with a massive boost ahead of the new season, by publicly confirming he wants to stay and work with new manager Jose Mourinho.
De Gea was all set to leave for Real Madrid on the final day of the summer transfer window in 2015, but the deal was not completed before the deadline and fell through as a result. He went on to quickly sign an extended contract with the Manchester giants following the collapse, though it had been reported that Real had the option to sign the player for £40m before June 15.
However, speaking to "?Marca ahead of Spain's Euro 2016 campaign later this month, De Gea confirmed that he was happy to stay at Old Trafford and see out his contract at the very least.
He said on his club future: "People talk a lot and they know little. I know how all this works, but what I think is disrespectful is when people start making out that it's something I have said. I've got three more years on my contract with United and the desire to win more titles here.

"When it comes to United, if you don't win everything, it's not good enough. This FA Cup (win in May) is important for the club, it's important for the fans, and it's an important step towards winning major titles again."
De Gea also paid tribute to Mourinho, who was recently appointed as the successor to Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, adding: "Talk about Jose Mourinho and you're talking about a winner. Winning is United's, Jose's and my philosophy. We can make a great team and I welcome him."
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had recently cast doubt over whether Los Blancos would make another move for De Gea this summer, because of the form of current number one Keylor Navas.
