"?Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has scuppered Juan Cuadrado's move to Juventus - until he finds a suitable replacement.

"?Italian news outlet Calciomercato claims that Conte is refusing to sanction Cuadrado's move to Turin until he brings a forward in to replace the outgoing winger.

Cuadrado spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan with Juventus after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by under former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

And Cuadrado's agent, Alessandro Lucci, has flown into London to try and convince Conte to let him join the reigning Serie A champions.

Despite the setback, however, Juventus insist that they will eventually land their man.

Club president Giuseppe Marotta said: "I hope that over the next few days we can conclude the Cuadrado deal.

"For now he is a Chelsea player.

"We presented a proposal to them and are waiting for a response, but we are optimistic."

Cuadrado joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in February 2015 for a reported £25m.

The 28-year-old made the switch to Stamford Bridge after starring for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil eight months earlier.

Cuadrado arrived with a burgeoning reputation after bagging 26 goals and 21 assists in 106 appearances for I Viola.

However, the pacy wide man made just 13 appearances for the Londoners during the remainder of the 2014/15 season - a run which saw him start just two games and fail to complete 90 minutes once.

In spite of a lack of chances, Cuadrado still picked up Premier League and Capital One Cup winners medals during his time with the Blues.

Cuadrado made one brief substitute appearance for Chelsea last term in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City before being shipped off to Italy on loan.

And the former Udinese and Leece midfielder enjoyed a fruitful campaign under the tutelage of Massimiliano Allegri, scoring five times and notching eight assists in 41 games, as well as securing an Italian league and cup double.
