The two clubs confirmed the deal on Wednesday evening, with "?Fiorentina first up. They said in a statement: "ACF Fiorentina announces that it has sold, outright, to the rights of the player Marcos Alonso Mendoza at Chelsea Football Club."
"?Chelsea soon followed it up, and the player said upon arrival: "I'm very happy. It's a step up in my career and I think this is the perfect place for me to continue developing. It's time for me to win some titles.
"It was an easy decision for me to make when I heard the club were interested in signing me. My family and close friends know Chelsea is the club I have dreamed about playing for so I'm really excited about the challenge and I'm looking forward to working with my new team-mates."

Alonso is Chelsea's fourth senior signing of the summer, joining Michy Batshuayi, N'Golo Kante and Portugal goalkeeper Eduardo at Stamford Bridge. He will likely be followed later today by David Luiz, who is in London ready to undergo a medical ahead of a move from Paris Saint Germain.
He made one La Liga appearance for Real Madrid during the 2009-10 season, having mainly featured for the Castilla side, before joining Bolton. Chances at the English club were limited until the 2012-13 season, when he made 26 appearances in the league, scoring four goals.
Chelsea have had a good start to the season under Conte's leadership, winning three games from three in the Premier League sit near the top of the table at the end of the first month.
