Carlos Bacca Considers AC Milan Stay Despite Desire for European Football

Published on: 12 June 2016

"?AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has refused to rule out staying with the Italian club, despite expressing a desire to play European football, "?Goal.com reports.

The 29-year-old joined the Serie A side in July 2015 from Sevilla, and carried on his superb form by netting 18 goals this season. However, the Rossoneri appear to be worried over the Colombian's future, as a poor end to the season saw Milan drop to seventh, missing out on European football.

Bacca has never shied away from expressing his desire to showcase his talent on the biggest stages in Europe, alerting several top clubs to monitor his situation at the San Siro. Atletico Madrid are reportedly showing the most interest in the striker, while rumours of former Sevilla manager Unai Emery taking charge of French giants Paris Saint-Germain could spark a bid from the coach to reunite himself with Bacca, tempting the Colombian with Champions League football.

Bacca's agent Sergio Barila has also confirmed that there are significant offers on the table from China and across Asia, however reports suggest that the striker is not interested in a move away from Western football.

Despite interest from the biggest clubs in Europe, Bacca insists that staying at Milan is still a viable option, with the player in no rush to move away from Italy. As well as being comfortable with his role in the side, his family are said to be enjoying the city, while there is no shortage of adoration for the player from the Rossoneri fans.

Bacca's content with his current situation isn't enough however, with the striker set to sit down with the board to discuss his future and the direction of the club going forward.
