Bournemouth's In-Demand Striker Callum Wilson Pledges Allegiance to Cherries

Published on: 18 May 2016

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the South Coast.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe spoke out after Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to Manchester United, stating that the club had "?rejected a £25m bid from West Ham for Wilson and Matt Ritchie.

But the Hammers aren't the only team keen on the 24-year old, with Tottenham "?reportedly keen to offer Bournemouth Ryan Mason in a swap deal with Wilson.

Bournemouth value Wilson at £20m and are not expected to accept any bids below that mark.

The future of the former Coventry City striker will ultimately be up to himself, and after speaking to the "?Daily Echo, it seems as though he his keen to continue playing for Bournemouth into next season.

"?"I am a loyal person," he said.

"I am grateful to Bournemouth for giving me the opportunity to play at a high level in the Championship.

"We had a good season last year and got promoted and then I got my chance to play in the Premier League.

"I want to maintain that for as long as possible."?

Wilson started the Premier League campaign in fine form, scoring five goals in his first seven games.
"?
"?However, the striker sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury in a match against Stoke City, which eventually saw him miss the next six months of football.

"Because I had been out for six months, I didn't take much notice of it [interest from other clubs].

"I had just come back from injury and then, all of a sudden, I was being linked with clubs.

"It was a bit unrealistic. You take confidence from your name being linked with big clubs."?
