And Neill Blake, Bournemouth's chief executive officer, revealed that the youngster would be a valuable player for manager Eddie Howe in the seasons to come.
He said: "We've moved swiftly in the window to secure Emerson's signature and we are delighted to have finalised the deal to bring such a promising young talent to AFC Bournemouth.
"Emerson is a highly rated young player and already boasts international experience, so will be a welcome addition to Eddie and Jason's squad.
"We now look forward to seeing him in action at Vitality Stadium in of our second season in the top flight."
Hyndman broke into the first-team set-up at Fulham at the start of the 2014/15 campaign, making nine appearances before a fractured collarbone, at the end of January 2015, sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
He returned to the first-team fold in December 2015 after gaining full fitness with the Under-21 squad at Craven Cottage, and made 16 appearances in the Championship as Fulham finished the season in a paltry 20th position in the league standings.
A centre midfielder by trade, Hyndman is also capable of playing further forward in an attacking midfield role, as well as filling in on the left wing during his time in London. Hyndman has also been capped once at senior international level by the United States.
