Belgium manager Marc Wilmots "?has taken a swipe at Italy after his sides 2-0 defeat in their opening game of Euro 2016 to the Azzurri on Monday.
Wilmots believes the Italian side just has to rely on Serie A Champions Juventus for their team to succeed, stating that head coach Antonio Conte doesn't even need to do any work with the defence.
Conte plays a 3-5-2 formation with the Azzurri, with all three players at the back, Bonucci, Chiellini and Barzagli, playing for Juventus, as does legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Wilmots' Belgium side went into the game as favourites, after being ranked as the second best team in the world in the latest FIFA rankings, against a weak Italy team. But the Italians produced a tactical masterclass and ground out a 2-0 win over their Belgium counterparts with goals from Southampton's Graziano Pelle and Sunderland's Emanuele Giaccherini.
After the game Wilmots spoke out about his opinions on the Italian side: "The Italy Coach just has to rely on Juventus."? he told "?Football Italia.
"I don't think we did that badly and maintain we deserved a draw. Especially as we had to revamp the defence, our performance should not be underestimated. The Italy Coach just has to rely on the Juventus defence in a bloc, he doesn't even need to do any work with them."
Italy are without key midfielders Claudio Marchisio, Riccardo Montolivo and Marco Verratti for the tournament, but will be encouraged by their performance against the Red Devils on Monday.
Conte's side will take on Sweden on Friday, where his defence will be tested as they come up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had a quiet game during the 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland.
Wilmots' Belgium side take on the Republic of Ireland in Bordeaux on Saturday and the head coach has a selection dilemma's ahead of him, after a poor display from Romelu Lukaku leading the line, he could turn to Liverpool's Divock Origi to start up front.
