After predicting that Friday's away game to Schalke would be tough, Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti was proven correct - it took two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to secure victory for the German giants.
Still, invariably, regardless of the opposition, the defending champions tend to find a way to emerge victorious, as was the case here after strikes from Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich. Victory in Gelsenkirchen means it's a perfect six points from six in the Bundesliga for Bayern.
"It was the difficult game that we expected against the tough opponent we expected," Ancelotti said afterwards. "Schalke caused us many problems. For 60 minutes, the game was well balanced, and after that we had more chances and also got the goal.
"Schalke were the better team in the first half, and we were better in the second."
Yet to concede a goal under the Italian's watch, the Bavarian giants were asked a series of questions on Friday; answering said queries by securing a victory against - what is on paper at least - one of the tougher road games in the league. It almost seems inevitable that Bayern will secure yet another Bundesliga title come the end of the season.
But as everyone knows, it's in the Champions League where Ancelotti will face his toughest tests, as he looks to claim another win in the competition and thus become the first manager in history to win European football's most coveted prize on four separate occasions.
