"?Bayern Munich's new manager Carlo Ancelotti has remained coy over speculation surrounding Mario Gotze's future, according to "?ESPN.co.uk.
Gotze has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena after a season where form and fitness deserted him.
Ancelotti and Gotze held talks in May over the play-maker's chances of featuring on a more consistent basis under the incoming Italian.
But when recently quizzed on the issue, Ancelotti refused to be drawn on the subject.
"I've spoken to Mario on the phone," the former Chelsea and Real Madrid said.
"He's aware of my opinion."
Gotze made just 21 appearances for Munich throughout the 2015/16 season due to a niggling hamstring injury.
The Germany international has been linked with a move to Liverpool, where he would enjoy a reunion with former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp.
Despite being urged to leave Munich by Bayern's chief executive officer Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, though, Gotze switched agents and vowed to remain and fight for his place with the 26-time German champions.
The 51-time capped international is currently preparing for the upcoming Euro 2016 Championships with his national side.
National team coach Joachim Low had said that a move to pastures new may be of benefit to the 26-year-old.
However, he also refused to answer any queries regarding Gotze's future, and instead said his player was focusing on the international tournament in France.
"I have said everything about Mario Gotze and Bayern Munich," Low said.
"The only thing that interests me now is the performance during the match and on the training pitch."
Gotze joined Bayern Munich from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2013 for a fee thought to be in the region of £28m.
The attacking midfielder has made 114 appearances in all competitions for the German champions in that time, scoring 36 goals and acquiring 24 assists.
