Augsburg chairman Jonas Hoffman says the club will not be lured by Chelsea’s millions to sell their promising defender Baba Rahman.
There are rumours that an €18 million offer will force the Bundesliga outfit to consider trading one of their best players.
But Augsburg say they are financially independent to hold onto their Ghana international at the WWK Arena.
"We do not need the Baba millions," he told Bild. "We have a good, solid team here.
"I am very optimistic that Baba will continue his great performances with us. He's made a very good impression at our recent training camp.
"Why keep Baba? I am an Augsburg fan. To me, it's more important that I spend the evening watching Augsburg win with a beer in my hand than when we have more money in the bank account.
"There's no need to even talk about an offer under €20m, as I've previously stated."
Chelsea have targeted the young defender to replace Brazilian Filipe Luis who is set to return to Atletico Madrid.
