Artur Boruc Implies that Koeman is a Sell-Out for Taking Everton Job

Published on: 13 June 2016

"?Former Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc has taken to twitter to share his viewpoint on the confirmation that Ronald Koeman has left the Saints for the vacancy with Everton at Goodison Park.

Boruc joined Southampton in 2012, and was ousted by Koeman when he arrived in 2014, after the Dutchman's preference for Fraser Forster virtually brought an end to the Pole's career at St Mary's.

He was then sent out on loan to AFC Bournemouth, which eventually became Boruc's permanent home at the end of the 2014-15 season.

His twitter angle implies that he still hasn't forgiven Koeman who did have a year left on his contract with Southampton when the switch to Everton was finalised on Tuesday, with the Dutch manager confirming a three-year deal at Goodison Park.

It remains unclear as to the reasons behind the managerial switch, but Boruc clearly believes it's a cocktail of money and disloyalty.

The picture he posted quotes Koeman as saying, ""Players and managers alike are switching clubs much more easily, mainly just for more money. I'd hate to ever become that kind of manager, only focused on short-term gains."
