Arsene Wenger Looks to Entice Alvaro Morata to Arsenal by Making Him Highest Paid Player

Published on: 27 May 2016

"?Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to make use of his club's much publicised financial clout by promising his much-coveted transfer target Alvaro Morata a wage packet in excess of £155,000-a-week, according to "?The Sun.

The 23-year-old is currently contracted to Italian side Juventus, but, under the terms of his transfer from Real Madrid - the Spanish club inserted a buy-back clause - which it is reported Los Blancos will exercise before selling him on for a much healthier profit.

Now Wenger is ready to make good on his promise to spend substantial sums by strengthening his forward line - following largely disappointing seasons from Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck - by making Morata their highest paid player with £155,000-a-week.

The Spaniard has been a key member of the Italian side since joining them in 2014, and has developed into an accomplished player, most notably excelling with his dribbling, speed and work-rate - three qualities that would serve him well in the Premier League.

The Spaniard himself is said to be keen on a move to England and Arsenal are currently in the driving seat to bring him to the Emirates Stadium. Furthermore, Real Madrid are also not keen on keeping their former starlet at the Bernabeu, as they will be interested only in a big name signing.
