"?After completing the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach's Granit Xhaka on Wednesday, Arsenal have made a bid to bring another player to the Emirates this summer - Bolton Wanderers centre-half Rob Holding.
Holding may not have the glamour and high profile of Xhaka, who signed this week for a fee in the region of £30m, but the "?Sun report that the club were impressed enough with his performances in the Championship this past season to lodge a bid, despite Bolton's eventual relegation to League One.
Arsenal have made an offer of an initial £1.2m for the 20-year-old, although that figure could be set to rise depending on how many appearances the youngster makes in his time at the club, with add-ons included as part of the offer.
Holding burst onto the scene with Bolton in December, cementing a first team place and never looking back - even impressing enough in a dreadful season for the Trotters that he was included in Gareth Southgate's England Under-21 squad for this week's Toulon Tournament. Southgate's youngsters have impressed there, with three wins from three games thus far including a 1-0 win over Portugal and a 4-0 thrashing of Paraguay on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also said to be considering a move for Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic this summer as Wenger looks to add depth to his midfield, with the Australian expected to be available for around £7m.

Rogic is included in Australia's squad for Friday night's friendly against England, which could give the Gunners the chance to see him face off against top opposition - a relative rarity in the SPL.
