Arsenal and "?Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has defended his team's tactics, arguing Chris Coleman's men "go out to win every game".
The Dragons lost 2-1 to England after goals from substitutes Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge in a game where Wales only had 30% possession.
Ramsey and co were criticised for defending too deep and have been urged to play a more attacking game when they face Russia on Monday. The Arsenal man, however, does not believe his side go out and play for a point.
He told the "?Mirror: "We go out trying to win every game.
"We defend deep but try and counter-attack and try and win the game."
Wales never invested enough to get a result, you defend that deep, you invite the other team to attack, that leads to chances and goals
@WalesOnline unlucky Wales but you can't expect to defend for 90mins and actually get points from the game!
state of Wales tho, 5 at the back and still can't defend, pub standard
Don't even feel sorry for wales, came to sit back and defend foh mate
Ramsey is also adamant that Wales can still qualify for the knockout round despite losing to England.
"We have worked our socks off in getting here to the finals. We have got off to a good start against Slovakia. We are still in the mix," said the former Wales captain.
"We are very disappointed in the way it finished against England, but it is important now to get over that, that is tournament football "? we will go again on Monday.
"We will just have to focus on ourselves and if we do that I am sure we will come through and get through."
A win against Russia will be enough to see Chris Coleman's men progress to the next round, while Wales could still qualify with a draw or even a defeat as a best third-placed team if England manage to beat Slovakia.
