"?Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis recalls the 3-3 draw with Liverpool at Anfield, a match during which he claims to have nearly broken his hand - all because Joe Allen decided to score a late equaliser.
The 51-year-old took up his current role back in January of 2009, and has received endless criticism as a result of his decision to stick with Arsene Wenger as manager.
He revealed, in a "?Supporter's Club Q&A session, that he hit a metal bar which was in front of him during the Anfield match, following Allen's goal.
The Welsh midfielder snatched a last-gasp point for the Reds in what was a thrilling encounter, catching Christian Benteke's lay-off to stick the ball into the back of the Gunners' net.
The result left Arsenal level on goal difference with eventual Premier League champions Leicester City.
"We're on a rollercoaster all season, we all are," Gazidis said. "I think I nearly broke my hand when Joe Allen equalised in the last minute at Anfield, thumping the steel bar in front of me.
"But we can't afford to do that, what we have to do is get away from the emotional review of the game and get back to what really happened and data can help you do that, it can help you get back to the reality. Sometimes the emotion affects how you think."
It appears that the chief will be keeping Wenger at the club for yet another season, yet this time around, they are making a statement with regards to transfers, having already signed Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
They have also reportedly triggered Jamie Vardy's release clause at Leicester.
