Arsenal have announced their interest in the young Germany and FC Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sane, and are set to make an approach, according to Sport Bild.
The 20-year-old is currently out in France representing Germany in the Euros this summer, and will be part of the squad that will take on the French in the semi-finals on Thursday evening.
It appears that his performances last season have not gone unnoticed, as Arsenal are keen to begin negotiations with the German youngster, however, they face tough competition.
Bild have reported that Manchester City would be willing to pay an astonishing £42m for Sane, while European heavyweights Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested.

Sane helped Schalke 04 to a fifth-placed finish in the Bundesliga last year, scoring eight goals and producing 6 assists in 33 league appearances, however Schalke representatives are reportedly keen to negotiate the player's future sooner rather than later, and have told the youngster to decide on his destination straight after the Euros, so that they can plan on bringing in a replacement if needed.
Speaking to Sport Bild, new Schalke coach Christian Heidel spoke of the club's position on Leroy Sane's future.
"Leroy Sane must make after the European Championship a decision regarding his future. For Schalke 04 takes a certain predictability, "
"We have always made it clear that we would be pleased if Leroy Sane remains at Schalke."?
