"?Chelsea are preparing a bid for Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan according to German media outlet Bild.
The Armenian has been in sensational form this season under Thomas Tuchel with 23 goals and 32 assists to his name in 51 appearances across all competitions.
Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has identified Mkhitaryan as a transfer target with the Blues looking to bolster their attack for next season.
This, however, wouldn't be the first time that Chelsea attempted to persuade Dortmund to part ways with Mkhitaryan.
Last season, Chelsea submitted a bid rumored to be in the region of €60 million for the playmaker but were rebuffed.
Given the incredible season he has had for Dortmund, Chelsea would need to substantially improve that offer if they are to have any chance of landing the former Shakhtar star.
However, it is worth noting that Dortmund are in a tricky situation when it comes to Mkhitaryan.
Having just lost Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich, the club are in a vulnerable position and are keen to hold on to their strong players, of which, Mkhitaryan is obviously one.
The 27 year old has quite a bit of power in that his contract expires in 2017 and until he agrees a deal to extend it, he could push for a move away.
