"?Anthony Martial has revealed that he is recovering well from the head injury he suffered during Manchester United's 3-1 defeat at Watford, according to reports from "?Sky Sports.
The 20-year-old Frenchman accidentally clashed heads with Hornets fullback Daryl Janmaat in the first half but seemed to be able to continue.
However, the young forward was caught on the ball in the lead up to Watford's opening goal, which seemed to worsen the earlier clash of heads and led to him needing treatment.
It was debatable whether the challenge on Martial was a foul, but Michael Oliver judged it as a clean challenge by Miguel Britos.
Martial announced on Twitter that he was on the mend and thanked the supporters.
Feel much better today. Thanks for all your support and your messages! ? pic.twitter.com/e0eyV2BJBv
His manager Jose Mourinho, though, was unsure why Martial was forced to come off when asked about the incident after the game.
"I didn't know why he came off, whether he was injured in his knee, his ankle or his head," Mourinho said.
"I don't know. I just know, in that moment, he is not in a condition to carry on. I don't know why. I just know I had to change. I don't know yet what happened."
Martial is not expected to be in the squad for Wednesday night's trip to Northampton in the EFL Cup, but should be fine for next weekend's clash with champions Leicester at Old Trafford.
