Juventus striker "?Alvaro Morata is said to prefer a move to Manchester United rather than Chelsea if United's deal to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford falls through.
Spanish radio station "?Onda Cero have reported that the Spaniard is open to the move away from the Juventus Stadium this summer, with Jose's United the preferred location.
Manchester United have been in a search for another prolific striker to work alongside captain Wayne Rooney, and with their main option Ibrahimovic stalling the move to United on a free transfer, the Spanish international appears to be a viable alternative.
Jose Mourinho was said to not be keen on the 23-year-old, but it has now been claimed that the Portuguese coach would be interested should he be available in the market.
United will have to act fast however, with the possibility that Morata's former club Real Madrid may exercise the buy-back clause in his contract with Serie A champions Juventus, bringing the young Spaniard back to the Bernabeu this summer.
Despite reports also suggesting that Madrid will look to sell on the player for further financial gain this summer, Manchester United will not be the only English club looking to claim Morata's signature, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal both looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
Since joining Juventus from Madrid in 2014 for £16m, the striker's statistics do not boast his alleged attacking potential. Morata only scored 12 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions last season, however the player is known for scoring goals in the big games at important times, including his extra-time winner off the bench in the Coppa Italia final against AC Milan in May.
