"?Alexandre Pato has admitted that "?he wanted more game time during his loan spell with Chelsea, but insists that he holds no grudges with the Blues over the issue.
Chelsea signed the Brazilian striker on a six-month loan in January at a time where they desperately needed cover for main striker Diego Costa, but due to Pato's lack of fitness and the emergence of Bertrand Traore, Pato had to wait three months to make his first appearance for the club against Aston Villa, a game in which he scored a penalty.
His performance against Villa earned him another starting spot the next week against Swansea, but after a series of missed chances he was dropped once again and failed to break into the first team again.
The former AC Milan striker has now said that, while he wanted to play more for Chelsea, he still wanted to remain in Europe.
"I do not regret [moving to Stamford Bridge]. Chelsea received me very well," Pato told SporTV.
"I could play, scored a goal, I showed that I can play in Europe, in England. Because many say that England is very difficult. [But] I was hoping to play more."
A return to Chelsea, however, is unlikely after Pato's agent revealed that there had been no contact between the player and new Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte. Teammate "?Willian, however, hopes that his fellow Brazilian will make his move to Stamford Bridge permanent.
"I have a very good relationship with him [Pato]. I have played with him in youth teams, he is a great friend of mine. He does not know his situation; we do not know if he will stay or go. He wants to stay here. I hope it can be resolved as soon as possible. It would be nice if he stayed here. It would be cool for us and very positive."
