Super Eagles forwards Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke have returned to Sevilla FC following Nigeria’s successful outing at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where the team secured a bronze medal finish, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Nigeria claimed third place after edging Egypt 4–2 on penalties in the playoff match, following a goalless draw at the end of regulation time. The encounter was played on Saturday evening at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
Sevilla FC confirmed the return of both players through a post on the club’s official Facebook page, welcoming them back after their international assignment.
“Our Super Eagles have landed. Welcome back, Akor and Chidi!” the club wrote.
Akor Adams enjoyed an impressive tournament with the Super Eagles, scoring two goals during Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 campaign. The striker also found the net in the third-place playoff against Egypt, but the effort was later ruled out.
Both Adams and Ejuke departed the Super Eagles camp immediately after the playoff match and will therefore not be part of the official medal presentation ceremony scheduled for Sunday.
Nigeria’s victory over Egypt marked the country’s ninth third-place finish in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations, further underlining the Super Eagles’ consistent presence among Africa’s top football nations.
