French international midfielder "?Dimitri Payet is happy at West Ham, but could leave for another club if he is offered huge sums of money, his agent has revealed.
Mark McKay told Sky Sports that Payet has emerged as one of European football's top midfielders because of West Ham's influence, but a "ridiculous" offer could mean that he leaves the Olympic Stadium.
He said: "As far as I am concerned, he's been happy at West Ham and it's down to West Ham that he's in the position that he is in. He's doing great now for France and to get him now, you've got to be talking ridiculous money. But football is football, so you never know.
"When he first came last year, we hoped for the best with him. We knew that he was a really good player, but I don't think anyone could really expect what he has gone on to do in the Premier League so far.
"The game against Romania the other night was a joy to watch."
Payet is rumoured to be attracting interest from a host of top European clubs, including Chelsea, although he is currently concentrating on Euro 2016.
As his agent mentioned, Payet got France off to a winning start with an absolutely stunning late strike against Romania in the dying moments of the game on Friday.
Payet will be hoping to have many more moments like that in the remainder of the competition for France, who are favourites to win it, and in doing so attract plenty more attention.
The 29-year-old had a fantastic first season in the Premier League with West Ham scoring 12 goals in all competitions and is unlikely to be sold by the London club for anything other than a huge offer.
