"?England's Adam Lallana has told the"? Liverpool Echo that the Three Lions don't need any extra motivation ahead of their Euro 2016 clash with Wales.
The two nations face each other in a Battle of Britain contest at the international tournament on Thursday afternoon.
Wales superstar Gareth Bale has already goaded Roy Hodgson's side in the build-up to the encounter, saying that the Red Dragons will show more pride and passion than their United Kingdom counterparts.
But Lallana believes he and his international team-mates are well aware of the magnitude of the match in Lens in two days time.
"There's something special about this game. A lot of the players know each other from club football," the Liverpool midfielder said.
"Countries from Britain always want to beat each other. It's a pivotal game in the group stages and we need a positive result.
"We have big players in our team used to dealing with big pressure week in week out. We thrive off that. We don't need anyone else to tell us how big this game is.
"We don't need any motivation from anyone. We stick together and fight for each other. We know how much we need to be up for it."
England suffered heartache in their opening match of the tournament after conceding a last-minute equaliser to Russia in their 1-1 draw last Saturday.
In contrast, Wales secured a 2-1 victory over Slovakia in their first competitive finals showing for 58 years.
However, Lallana, who started the opening match of the competition against the Russians, says that the Three Lions moved on quickly from that disappointment and are now fully focussed on taking on Wales.
The 26-year-old added: "Unfortunately we were pegged back in the last minute but we've taken a lot of positives from our performance and we're really looking forward to getting going again."?
