Adam Johnson Reportedly Starts Football Team in Jail With Fellow Sex Offenders

Disgraced ex-Premier League footballer Adam Johnson is reportedly starting a team behind bars with fellow sex offenders, according to the Star.

The paper reports that the former-Sunderland man "?has apparently decided to train a number of inmates from his prison wing.

The team at the Category C Moorland Prison will be allegedly trained by Johnson, who even wants them to wear Sunderland kits during games.

According to the report, the prison has a footballing facility, including training grounds and a full size pitch.

"Johnson is delighted to be playing football again, although he's not that happy that his team is going to be made up of paedos and perverts," a source reportedly told the Star on Sunday.

"Football is his life. He has been told to get a team trained up ready to play against other wings in the prison.

"Some of the matches will be a bit fruity because sex offenders are probably the most hated inmates in the prison. The team are training a couple of times week but he thinks they should be training every day."

It's unlikely they'll have a game against the guards as seen in the hit film Mean Machine with Vinnie Jones, who trained a bunch of prisoners including Danny Dyer. This, however, is a far stretch from a Hollywood blockbuster.
