Kawasaki: Kawasaki Frontale head into the second-leg of the 2017 AFC Champions League Round of 16 tie with Muangthong United on Tuesday holding a commanding 3-1 lead from the first-leg.
Teerasil Dangda put Muangthong a goal up a week ago, but Kengo Nakamura, Yu Kobayashi and Hiroyuki Abe all scored to ensure the Japanese side returned to Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium in a strong position to progress to a first quarter-final since 2009.
Despite their fine form in the continental competition, Muangthong have failed to win away from home and lost 2-1 to Kashima Antlers in their last visit to Japan, while unbeaten Kawasaki have now won three on the bounce.
