Matchwinner "?Gianluigi Donnarumma has dedicated AC Milan's Italian Super Cup triumph to outgoing club president Silvio Berlusconi after they beat Juventus on penalties.

The 17-year-old shot stopper saved Paulo Dybala's decisive spot kick to secure a first Super Cup title in five seasons for Vincenzo Montella's men at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium in Doha in Friday.

The victory was obtained with a 4-3 penalty shootout win after the match had finished 1-1 after extra time and, speaking to Rai Sport after the game (via "?Eurosport), Donnarumma explained that the players wanted to dedicate their win to Berlusconi, who is set to sell the Serie A club to a Chinese-led consortium in the very near future.

He said: "We wanted this victory and earned it with hard work. We dedicate it to the president. We don't know if it'll be his last trophy, but it's dedicated to him."?

Donnarumma had been beaten by Giorgio Chiellini's succinct volley after just 18 minutes of the contest, with Juventus well on top for much of the first 45 minutes.

However, Giacomo Bonaventura's leveller seven minutes before the break ensured that the sides headed into the interval at level pegging, and the following 75 minutes, encompassing the second half and extra time, could not separate the two Italian giants.

Donnarumma's team mate Gianluca Lapadula contrived to miss Milan's opening penalty but, thanks to Mario Mandzukic's effort form 12 yards clearing the crossbar and Donnarumma's heroics against Dybala, victory was secured for I Rossoneri.

Asked about how he was feeling after winning his first ever piece of silverware, the Italy international failed to contain his delight at winning his inaugural trophy.

Donnarumma added: "I cannot describe what I'm feeling and I don't even know what was going through my head! We knew that we had to give it our all, we played on level terms with Juventus. The coach gave us something extra. We try to do everything he asks. It's a pleasure to win with all these Italians on the pitch, but there were foreign players too. It's such a great feeling, indescribable!"
