"?AC Milan are preparing to make a January bid for Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, with the Dutchman still seemingly not able to force his way into the club's plans.
According to the Express, Jose Mourinho is hoping to cash in on the 22-year old after an unsuccessful move from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2015.
Louis van Gaal brought Depay to the club for £25m after a season in which he won the golden boot in the Eredivisie, scoring 22 goals.
But he has failed to make an impact, scoring just twice in a red shirt, and is yet to start a game under new manager Jose Mourinho in the Premier League this season, featuring for just 12 minutes.
Italian giants AC Milan are said to be keen on bringing the neglected Dutchman to the Serie A in the January transfer window, despite the fact that there are still two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
The seven time Champions League winners are in a prosperous financial position having been taken over by a Chinese consortium in the summer, so they are likely to be able to stretch to United's price demands.
Depay started for the Netherlands in their 1-0 defeat to France during the international break, showing promise. There are no signs of him getting an opportunity at club level anytime soon however, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order, and with Henrikh Mkhitaryan also returning to training.
Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas has also been linked with the Rossoneri, although manager Vincenzo Montella has dismissed any rumours.
