Nigeria's Benjamin Frederick has expressed delight over making his deal with English Premier League side, Brentford FC permanent, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The central defender who impressed during loan from Simoiben FC, Kaduna, Nigeria saw his contract extended four years an option to extend the deal and he is looking to repay the trust repose in him by the club through his performance.
He described his move as a great moment in his career and the life of his family.
“Signing permanently for Brentford is a great moment for me and my family and I want to thank everyone who started this journey with me.
“Neil and the rest of the coaching team have been very patient and supportive throughout this season and they have helped me become a stronger more confident player in the process.
"I want to repay the club's trust in me by continuing to do my best and pushing to even greater heights.”
Fredrick will remain with the B team, but he has featured for the senior team after he was named as a substitute for Brentford’s Premier League games against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as both Emirates FA Cup third-round matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 18-year played for the U-20 Men's national team participating the World Cup and the African Cup of Nations where Nigeria finished third.
