Hull City secured a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, thanks to David Akintola's first goal of the season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Akintola netted the winner on the half-hour mark after Lewie Coyle's assist set him up for a clinical finish.

The 29-year-old winger, who joined Hull City on a free transfer in the summer, has now made seven appearances for the Tigers.

The win will boost Hull City's confidence as they look to climb the Championship table.
