Ollenu Ashitey scored on the 90th minute mark to hand Hearts a 2-2 draw against Kano Pillar in an international friendly on Thursday.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 8th minute through Christian Obiozor before Gambo Mohammed added the second in the 27th minute to end the first half.

With the task looking daunting for the Accra-based side, Eric Kumi pulled a goal back in the 50th minute before Ollenu Ashitey teased up  defender Afelokhai to level the scores at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

The two teams used the friendly exercise to prepare for separate assignments.

Hearts will travel to Kumasi to battle sworn rivals Kotoko in the biggest Premier League fixture on the Ghanain calendar on Saturday.

The Nigerians on the other hand will play against South Sudan side Al-Malakia in the preliminary stage of the 2015 CAF Champions League.
