Hearts stop-gap coach Eddie Ansah has launched a staunch defense of his coaching credentials following growing criticism over his appointment.

The former Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer has been accused of lacking the requisite qualification to guide the team from dropping to the country’s second-tier.

Ansah, who was appointed in an interim capacity has won only one game and three, with the latest being their 2-1 home defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

But the experienced former Black Leopards goalkeepers’ trainer has hit back at the criticism, insisting he’s duly qualified to handle the former African champions.

"I have played football. I have spent years in coaching. I am a CAF license 'A' coach,” he said

You all know me as a goalkeeper but l’m a professional coach, worked under many high profile coaches and have learnt a lot from them so l believe in my capabilities."

Hearts trek to Dansoman as guest of Liberty Professionals in a must-win game on Wednesday.
