Ghana host Liberia on Sunday at the Tamale Sports Stadium for the first leg encounter of the 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers.

The Junior Lone Star will play both legs in Ghana after Liberia notified the GFA due to the deadly Ebola virus which has ravaged the country.

Liberia will be counting on their foreign-based stars like Platanias attacking midfielder Herron Scarla Berrian, US-based Cooper Gaypia and 19 –year- old midfielder Sporo Somah of Ivorian side Sewe Sport.

Head coach Thomas Kojo, assisted by Janjay Jacob was the brain behind Liberia's U-23 flashy show in the 2010 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) championship held in the Nigerian state of Ogun.

The Junior Lone Star won the bronze medal that year.

Though no foreign based player will be in Ghana's team, Coach Malik Jabir and assistant coach Kairm Zito believe the current crop of players at their disposal are capable to give Ghana a positive result come Sunday at the Tamale sports stadium.

The winner of the parings will progress to meet Congo and Nigeria. The Black Meteors have already secured qualification to the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo after recent 2-0 win over Mozambique in Tamale.

The Junior Lone Star for their part have been out of active football action due to the Ebola epidemic disease and only played test matches with clubs in Monrovia before making the trip on Wednesday.
