Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene could find himself in trouble after he skipped Ismaily's training on Wednesday without permission.
The 26-year-old opted out of the training session due to fear of aggravating a muscle strain.
But the decision not to inform coach Tarek Yehia could attract sanction, according to reports in Egyptian media.
Banahene has struggled with injuries since he joined the Egyptian outfit from Saudi Arabian outfit Al Orobah.
He is unwilling to return group training until he recovers fully from the setback.
