Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has been named the captain for UAE side Al Ain in their match against Al Ahli in the Round 16 of the Asian Champions League this evening.

After scoring 4 goals for his team to thrash Al Fujuirah 5-0 in the round 16 of the President’s Cup to progress to the quarter final, Asamoah Gyan would captain Al Ain against Al Ahli in the Round 16 of the Asian Champions League this evening.

The team sheet for the encounter clearly shows that the Black Stars captain have been handed the task of leading his colleagues to victory in tonight’s encounter.

  
The last time Al Ain won the Asian Champions league was in 2002/2003 and were runners up in 2005. They have already won the Arabian Gulf League for this season.
