Anxiety rocks Black Stars players as Ghana coach Avram Grant names final 23-man squad for AFCON today
Black Stars

There is massive anxiety in the Black Stars camp as Ghana coach Avram Grant announces his final 23-man squad today at the team’s camping base in Seville, Spain.

The former Chelsea manager must omit three players from his provisional 26-man squad and that looks like an easy job for the Israeli.

Currently, 25 players have been training in Spain following the inability of Leicester City winger Jeffrey Schlupp to link up with the team.

He underwent a scan on a knee injury he sustained during New Year’s Day.

If he is ruled out, then Grant must axe only two players to arrive at his final squad.

Which three players should be axed from the provisional squad? Let's have your thoughts in the comment box below:

Ghana’s provisional 26-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Razak Braimah (Mirandes, Spain), Fatau Dauda (AshGold) and Ernest Sowah (Don Bosco, DR Congo)

Defenders: Harrison Afful (Esperance, Tunisia), John Boye (Erciyesspor, Turkey), Jonathan Mensah (Evian, France), Jeffery Schlupp (Leicester City, England), Awal Mohammed (Maritzburg, South Africa), Kwabena Adusei (Mpumalanga Black Aces, South Africa), Baba Rahman (Augsburg, Germany), Edwin Gyimah (Mpumalanga Black Aces, South Africa), Samuel Inkoom (Houston Dynamo, USA), Daniel Amartey, (FC Copenhagen, Denmark)

Midfielders: Mohammed Rabiu (Krasnodar, Russia), Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese, Italy), Afriyie Acquah (Parma, Italy), Solomon Asante (T.P. Mazembe, DR Congo), Christian Atsu (Everton, England), Mubarak Wakaso (Celtic, Scotland), Andre Ayew (Olympique Marseille, France), Frank Acheampong (Anderlecht, Belgium), Ibrahim Moro (AIK Stockholm, Sweden)

Strikers: Jordan Ayew (Lorient, France), Asamoah Gyan (Al Ain, UAE), Kwesi Appiah (Cambridge United, England) and David Accam (Chicago Fire, USA).

Daniel Amartey should be droped because he's young and don't have experience in any Africa terrain and must sit back and study small because Africa soccer is full of aggresive. The same applies to Ibrahim Moro, and Jeffrey Schlupp also because of injury issue

Moro Ibrahim,Kwabena Edusei must be exit from Black stars. If posible Afriyie Accquah,he does not has playing role at Black stars. Afriyie Accquah been with the team but no one knows where and how he plays. His not a good material to me. As for the strikers their ok if Waris is not gonna be part of the team then Kwesi Appiah should be allow to play AFCON.
