French side Monaco are plotting to sign Ghana defender Mubarak Wakaso, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

The 24-year-old will return to Russian side Rubin Kazan after ending a one-year loan deal at Scottish side Celtic

Official of the French outfit have approached the player's representative to gauge whether he would be interested in swapping the Russian League for the ambitious side, insiders have told Ghana’s leading football portal, GHANAsoccernet.com.

Monaco coach José Leonardo Nunes Alves  is a key admirer of the talented midfielder and wants to add him to his roaster for next season.

Wakaso, who has also played for Spanish clubs Espanyol, Villarreal and Elche, has 31 international caps.

When did Mubarak Wakaso become a defender? What at all is wrong with these reporters on Ghanasoccernet? We are tired of these unpardonable misinformation.
