Former Super Eagles Striker And Team Coordinator Believes Nigeria Will Qualify

Super Eagles team coordinator Patrick Pascal is optimistic Nigeria will come tops in the March 25 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) clash with the Pharaohs of Egypt.

The team has been in Abuja preparing for the back-to-back games with the former African champions in what many have described as the two games that will determine who wins the group and the ticket to Gabon 2017.

Pascal, a former Super Eagles striker himself is confident that the players will put up a good performance on match day and help Nigeria qualify.

“We have been in camp preparing the boys and all is good so far as the boys are responding to training. All is good in camp.

“The coaches have done well with the boys and I believe that with God on our side we shall make it happen and make Nigerians happy.

“We will get everything in place when the foreign-based professionals start trooping in from next week.

“The team needs to blend, the home based and foreign based so that we can put out a formidable team that can make all of us proud,” the former Shooting Stars of Ibadan player added.

The foreign-based players are expected to hit camp from March 20 for the clash against Egypt at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on March 25.

Egypt sit pretty on top of Group G of the qualifiers with six points. Nigeria is second with four points, Tanzania in third place with a single point while Chad is pointless after two match days.
