"?Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh has been released by Championship side Cardiff City.

The pair joined the club as free agents in early October, just after Warnock took over, but have done little to impress.

"He's a versatile player with pedigree and somebody who impressed me during my time at Crystal Palace," Warnock had said to "?Sky Sports after signing Chamakh.

His stance quickly changed, however.

"They have left this week," Warnock said in his press conference on Thursday, via BBC. "They have been good professionals, but we need to manipulate this squad and those two are easy as their contracts are up. They will both find clubs."

The Moroccan joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010, showing much promise. He was tipped to cope with the rigours of the Premier League better than Laurent Koscielny, who moved to the Emirates the same year.

"I'm expecting Chamakh to deal with the pressure of playing in the Premier League and bang the goals in, but I think Koscielny could struggle with the pace and strength of the Premier League,"? pundit Jake Humphrey wrote in a Match of the Day magazine.

Koscielny has thrived in the top flight, though, while Chamakh is now without a club.

He only made two appearances for Cardiff this season, while Richardson - formerly of Aston Villa - made six.

Whether or not he finds another club soon is all left to be seen, but the striker simply hasn't lived up to expectations.
