Alhassan Yusuf is out of the game against Cote D’Iviore as confirmed by the coach of the Super Eagles in the pre match conference on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Yusuf had sustained a muscle cramp in the opening game against Equatorial Guinea and was substituted in the 68th minute leaving many Nigerians worried of his availability for the crucial tie against the host nation.

It has now been confirmed that the Royal Antwerp midfielder will have no part in the game, but may be match ready for the last group game against Guinea Bissau on Monday, 22nd January.

"Yusuf is out for the match tomorrow. It is not a big injury, it is the good news yesterday, but for this match he is not ready, but for next match, he can be.

Meanwhile, the team had its final training on Wednesday evening ahead of the match with the Elephants.

The match comes up on Thursday at the Alassane Quattara Stadium, Abidjan at 6pm Nigeria time.
