Flying Eagles: Europe-based players set for camp January

Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has informed that his lads will face a tough test against Nigeria Professional Football League side, as he expects his Europe-based stars to hit camp in January.

The U20 side pummeled Kickers Academy 8-0 in a pre-2023 AFCON in Egypt warm-up game on Saturday at the FIFA Goal Project pitch in Abuja.

Bosso after the game dropped the hint "We give glory to God for reaching this level, I believe with the support of all the stakeholders around us the team is taking shape and the team we will present for AFCON will be far better than the team we took to Niger, that is our target.

"Most of the players that are here are players I spotted after the WAFU Cup, some of them have displaced the old ones that we want to see, so there is competition in the team.

"I'm putting in my program the foreign-based players either professional or non-profession who will join us by January.

"We have 40-plus players in camp for now.

"I believe the next set of Super Eagles should be their base and present U17, 20 and U23 should form the next Super Eagles that will make Nigeria proud.

"By next week, we have 3 friendly matches with the premier league clubs and we play them before we embark on X-mas break."
