Flamingos storm Abuja for Burkina Faso

Camp for Nigeria U-17 women's football team, Flamingoes was on Wednesday opened in Abuja as preparations for U-17 World Cup Qualifiers commence, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

Scheduled to play Burkina Faso on the 11th of May in the first leg of 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Qualifier, coach Olowookere Bankole invited 25 U17 players resumed camp yesterday in Abuja.

With Nwachukwu Prisca, Adebayo Jumai, Adegoke Khadija, Ibrahim Ayoade, Olowookere Oluwatoyin, Azeez Rokibat, Okezie Onyedikachi among others in camp, the Flamingoes are expected to fly over Burkina Faso in Abuja on the 11th of May, 2024 and also in the return leg in Burkina Faso.

The African qualifier organised by CAF has four rounds played between 8 December 2023 and 16 June 2024 with last Round coming up between May and June 2024 where Ethiopia face Kenya and Morocco slug it out with Algeria while Nigeria goes toe to toe with Burkina Faso. The three winners in the two legged games will represent Africa at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
