First quarter FIFA test for Nigerian referees to hold in Abuja

Trainings by FIFA for Nigerian referees will hold in Abuja, the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

Medical tests were conducted on the referees on Monday, 19th February 2024 while the test programme will begin Tuesday according to a release by the Nigeria Football Federation media.

Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary and Coordinator of Refereeing Development in Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu made known that 30 referees who were in international duties in 2024 will be decorated.

These referees will receive badges at a ceremony inside the NFF/FIFA Goal Project on Wednesday, 21st February 2024.

The 30 individuals are made up of seven men referees, seven men assistant referees, four women referees, four women assistant referees, four beach soccer referees and four futsal referees. One of the beach soccer referees, Jelili Ogunmuyiwa is presently on duty at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup ongoing in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
