Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has expressed his appreciation to Cameroon star Samuel Eto’o for honouring his invitation to play in his testimonial match.
Appiah had to count on the multiple African Footballer of Year winner as one of the few big-name players who featured in his farewell match at the Accra Sport Stadium.
The ex-Juventus and Fenerbahce star took to micro-blogging website Twitter to heap praise on the former Barcelona and Inter Milan legend.
He wrote on his official Twitter account “@OfficialAppiah: Humble as ever, but am aware of our value. @setoo9 bro thanks for your support. #stepapp.”
