Nigeria Premier Football League defending champions, Enyimba's assist coach, Yemi Olanrewaju has stated that the team’s main target is to get a continental ticket, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Olanrewaju who has been in the dugout in the stead of Coach Finidi George due to National team engagement at the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Cote D'Ivoire, disclosed that retaining the title will be difficult.

Enyimba FC defeated Shooting Stars Sports Club 1-0 in Aba on Saturday moving the 9-time champions to third on the league standings and leaving them a point behind leaders, Remo Stars and Lobi Stars.

However, the coach opines that they are not favourites for the title and their target is to get continental ticket.

"We know it is going to be competitive like I said we’re not the favourites for the title but we want to compete for the title. We want to get a minimum of continental ticket”

He further disclosed that "We will take a game at a time" as the team takes a trip to Benin in their next NPFL match against Bendel Insurance on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
