Eneji Missing, Jerome Akor Biggest Casualty As Under-20 Name Squad For Mauritania Tie

Ahead of their game against Mauritania in the U20 Africa Youth Championship, coach of the Nigerian team Paul Aigbogun has released a squad of 18 for the game with six others placed on standby.

In total the team now has 24 players in camp following yesterday’s purge which claimed team’s top striker since the commencement of training Jerome Akor, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Akor was dropped from the squad that will be travelling out on Tuesday for the first leg against Mauritania while reliable right full back Mike Zaruma missed out through injury.

Team’s talisman Peter Eneji was also not in the list as he is presently out of the country in search of a new club according to a member of the backroom staff of the team who are fine tuning preparations in Abuja
