Super Eagles Defender Osaz Okoro has assured Nigerians that the Home Eagles will return with the trophy by the end of the ongoing African Championship of Nations (CHAN),while calling on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to keep supporting the team.

Okoro who had a good crossing in the second group game against Libya that lead to victory insists that despite the hard luck of the team in front of goals, he was confident that with the Home-based Eagles perfecting goal-scoring tactics, they have what it takes to emerge champions of the competition.

He told SportsDay “It has not been easy for us. When Equatorial Guinea scored us in the first half we talked to ourselves and said we can do this before the second half and we did it.

The Rangers International Defender also maintained that nothing would stop them from defeating Angola in the Quarter final match billed for Tangier on Sunday.

“We are happy because we have qualified from the group stage going into the quarter finals which is the main event.

“We are fully prepared because we are not here for Jamboree but business and with God on our side nothing will stop us from winning the trophy,” he said.

Speaking on other teams strength he said, “I think every team in this tournament are strong because for each of us to qualify to be here shows we are here for business. On team should be written off or underrated by the other.

“It is luck and hard work that gives us victory in every match we have played apart from our first match against Rwanda which happen to be our first game and kick start of the event,”

Nigeria finished top of Group C with 7 points after 3-1 victory against Equatorial Guinea to top group C.
