CONTE: "WE'LL BE ROTATING THE SQUAD, AS SOME PLAYERS ARE IN NEED OF A REST"

It's the eve of Inter's next Serie A match di campionato per l'Inter, as we await Inter's clash with Fiorentina at San Siro on Wednesday at 21:45 CEST, in what will be matchday 35 of the Serie A TIM season. Antonio Conte gives his thoughts on the match and on Inter securing their place in the Top Four with four matches to spare: "One of the key things to point out is that we've been in the Top Four from start to finish. It's where a club like Inter belongs. It's great that we've achieved this goal, because it was one of the Club's main requests: to improve our results in comparison to previous seasons and to steady the ship so that things aren't so hectic at the end of the season."

"Without a doubt, Serie A has become a more competitive league: one need only look at the numbers the other teams are putting up. It'll keep getting tougher, and the level of competition has really stepped up. We've got to keep trying to improve, as the Club are looking to qualify for the Champions League every year, but we're also looking to be more involved in the title race, so we can eventually get our hands on the Scudetto. At the minute Juventus are still the best side in the league; they're set to win their ninth Scudetto title in a row. We're keeping a close eye on their progress."

Up next at San Siro are Fiorentina, who have secured their place in Serie A: "It's amazing that Fiorentina are so high up in the table. They've got a good squadful of players, they're a good team and Iachini is doing a great job as Coach. They'll be unfazed by us, but when you're up against Inter you always have the motivation to give your all. We'll be calm too, and by necessity, we'll have to make some difficult calls with our squad selection: we've played a lot of matches, and some players are in need of a rest, so we'll be rotating the squad."

"For the final stage of the season, maybe for the game against Getafe, we'll have Stefano Sensi back. He's running again, he's doing well, but we'll obviously need to take the right precautions."

He finished with a tactical analysis: "The introduction of an inside forward has given us the ability to be much unpredictable in the offensive mode. All the goals we've scored shows this. Maybe we give a bit more away at the back, but this is because we have so many players involved in attack. Our inside forward moves well between the lines, he has the freedom to do what he wants and gives us lots of different solutions going forward."
