Chidozie Awaziem Starts For FC Porto, Mikel Agu Subbed On, Onazi Drops To Trabzonspor Bench

Super Eagles World Cup 2014 defender Chidozie Awaziem was handed a start for FC Porto in their test game yesterday following his return to training following the conclusion of the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Awaziem who spent last season on loan to French Ligue 1 side Nantes started in yesterday’s 1-2 loss to Portimonense in a pre season tie while his Nigerian counterpart at the club Mikel Agu was introduced as a substitute.

Agu who was on loan to Turkish side Bursaspor last season played the final 25 minutes of the game, which is part of the friendly games lined up to help keep them in shape ahead of the start of their competitive engagement.
